This post is up close and personal! I have always been a little bit self-conscious about my teeth. I didn’t grow up with braces, and my teeth certainly were not pearly white. It has been a while since I have used whitening products, so I was super excited to try out Smile Brilliant!
The process was so easy, painless, and the trays were specifically made to fit my teeth perfectly – something you don’t get from store-bought whitening strips. This was really important to me because most of the stains on my teeth reside in-between my teeth. These trays helped get the whitening gel all up in there. š
Another thing I love about their whitening kit is that you have the option to get sensitivity gel to use as needed throughout the process.
Here’s how it works!
1. Combine the catalyst and the base together by folding and squishing the two colors together for 1 minute.
2. Lightly press the mixture into the trays, and press into your teeth in order to create molds of your top and bottom teeth. If you mess up, don’t worry! The kit comes with extra molding materials.
3. Let your molds dry completely, then place them in the prepaid envelope you received with your kit.
4. Place your molds in the mailbox, and wait for your whitening trays to be made. Smile Brilliant will keep you updated on where they are at in the process!
5. When you receive your trays, you can begin the whitening process! Fill both of the trays with a thin ribbon of whitening gel on the front-facing side – where your beautiful smile is seen :).
6. Whiten for 45 mins or up to 3 hours!
7. After whitening, brush your teeth and apply the sensitivity gel by filling the trays the same way you did when whitening.
Note: I highly recommend doing this process at night before you go to sleep. That way, if you do experience sensitivity, it will wear off overnight. Plus, while you’re sleeping, it’s easier to avoid beverages and foods that could stain your teeth right after a whitening session. š
