We are about two weeks into the new year and during a video meeting for work the other day, our boss asked, “Who has already broken their new year’s resolutions?” In the past, I probably would have raised my hand, and called myself out because, to be honest, I don’t have a good track record of keeping personal goals I’ve created for myself. However, this year feels different. I haven’t started on all of the goals I set for 2021 yet, but when the question was raised, I didn’t get the sinking feeling that I had already broken my resolutions or let myself down. My mindset is that I’m continuously making the conscious effort to grow and improve everyday to get to where I want to be whether it be a new year or not.
Here are the goals I’m going to accomplish this year:
Content
I’ve been blogging for a year now, and it has been a blast! It has also been a learning experience navigating all of the ins and out of social media. Now that I’m a little more seasoned, I’m looking forward to actually planning further out and creating more content for you guys!
Fitness
You can’t write new year’s resolutions without including fitness, right? Ha. My goal is to workout or get some sort of movement in at least 5 times a week because it makes me feel good and is good for my body.
Mental Health
My goal is to reach a point where I set aside time to do mindfulness meditation everyday. I have done it in the past for up to 2 minutes a day in the morning, and let me just tell you, it changed my entire day. I was more present, able to focus and a lot less stressed through out the day. My favorite free app for mindfulness is Headspace.
Self-care
I’m on my phone a lot in general, but with being a blogger, I find myself glued to it even more. My goal is to be on it less and make sure I’m creating more than I’m consuming.
Nutrition
When I eat good, I feel good. My body is super sensitive to food, and what I eat really impacts how I feel physically. I’ve never been able to just eat whatever I’ve wanted. I’ve been learning new recipes and eating healthier meals since we started working from home, and I can’t wait to learn more recipes! Cooking and baking is something I really enjoy.
Family
One of our big goals this year is to purchase land that we will build our future home on one day and where we will eventually start a family. I’m really excited about this!
What are some of your goals for this year? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂

I normally don’t set goals for the new year either but this year I think it’s time to change that! I created a vision board, I put into the universe what I want to attract. Plus it was fun to design!
Love your goals too, I hope you accomplish them.
Mindfulness is one area I want to focus on this year as well. Will be checking out Headspace! Thanks for the tip!
Your goals for 2021 are really realistic! A the moment, I’m writing my goals for the new year down and it’s great to see what other people put on their lists 🙂
You have such a cute blog! I love what you said about creating more content than consuming. I’ve significantly reduced my screen time lately, and it’s been a game-changer. Cheers to accomplishing all of our goals this year. xo
These are great goals! I especially love the land one. I also find myself glued to my phone all the time now since I started blogging, so I want to stay off it more. My goal is to stay off it for one hour when I wake up and before I go to bed. It’s been difficult, but it really helps!
Great goals! I’m sure you’ll succeed! I also have quite a few goals for this year, but it’s surprisingly hard to get everything done, when there are only 24 hours in a day.
These are great goals! I also have a fitness goal- to improve my running. I just started running at the end of last year and really want to continue! I like the self care goal, I need to work on that too!
